When you start your kiddos handling grownup tasks at a young age, like cutting veggies, and putting away the good dishes, you don’t have to teach them when they’re older.
I mean you still could, but teaching a full-of-energy 8 year old boy how to gently handle dishes that were passed down from his great-great-grandparents, doesn’t sound like my cup of tea.
I’m so happy we’re celebrating his 5th year of fully chipping in with caring for the home.
He’ll make a fine husband someday.
Moms of Little Ones,
I’ve been in your shoes. I know it’s easier {and so.much.quicker} to do chores yourself, but please resist the urge. Your efforts in training your children aren’t for nothing. Keep at it, it will pay off in the future.

It will totally pay off in the end. I’m one who never had chores. While I thought it was super cool there is a ton of home making skills I just don’t know.
