A Toy They All LOVE: Pattern Blocks by Learning Resources

We’re snowed in and enjoying our traditional post-Christmas morning. This post contains affiliate links.  Visit ...

Home Art: Creating a Paint Shirt!

We've been taking on quite a few art projects this year, since switching to Home Art Studio.  We are LOVING it!  The kids love it because they're actually getting to do more art, and I love it because the materials are so easy to follow and it mostly uses things we already have at home. As a result ...

I have always had a desire to live simple while striving to be more intentional and working to do things slightly better than I did the day, week, month, or year before.

I appreciate putting more emphasis on people and experiences, than material things.  I attribute this to my {mostly} unplugged childhood.

I was born in Minnesota and after moving to Iowa I was able to go back for well over a decade to visit with my grandparents in the same home that my parents brought me home to as an infant.  As a child I loved hearing my Grandpa Link tell stories and adored spending time in the kitchen learning from my Grandma Edna. I believe those admirable character traits of my grandparents are woven into the fibers of who I am today.

My husband and I met 4 days after my 18th birthday, we were just friends for only a week before deciding dating and ‘forever’ were in our plans.

Together we built our dream home on the edge of town where we are creating our modern city-life homestead while we raise and homeschooling our four children.

I love sharing pieces of our life with hopes of inspiring you to live slightly better too!
