Food doesn’t have to look pretty. It needs to nourish you. This ugly salad does just that.
Calorie Break down:
3 C. Shredded Lettuce: 20 calories
A few slices from a huge pickle (because the little boy thought I needed some with my lunch just like he had): 5 calories
½ C. Cottage Cheese: 80 calories
1/8th C. Diced Green Pepper: 4 calories
I could’ve tried for a better picture, but then it wouldn’t have been nearly as ugly.
Total: 109 Calories (you could probably skip the pickles if you wanted, of course). This salad is filling & lower calories than a lot of those prepackaged meals, and muuuuch better for you, even though it isn’t loaded with nutrients, it does the trick for a quick meal time.
