Search for a recipe that you could try to impress your man with. If your husband asks why, tell him “Just because I love you”. It will make him feel so much better than if you said “I wanted to try something new” or “I was bored”.
As if Mondays aren’t busy enough, let me add one more thing for you to consider adding to your “to-do” list.
Today’s Monday Madness is to cook something special for your spouse.
A couple summers ago my husband and I went to the golf course a few times for dinner. It’s just up the road from our house & the kids were pretty little, so I wasn’t as worried about leaving them with a sitter when I knew we could be home within minutes if needed. The food was reasonably priced and delicious! They had shuffleboard at the time that we appreciated learning how to play together.
My husband always ordered the Po Boy sandwich. I decided that I would learn how to make it and surprise him with it.
I searched for a recipe on Google & found one I thought I could follow. I had our daughter help me as much as she could then served it on our best dishes.
He was thrilled! He raved to all his friends about the sandwich I made, and how good it was. I felt like a queen!
For extra brownie points scribble a little love letter on a card and stick it by his plate.
This doesn’t have to be anything fancy. It’s really not about the food, it’s about the thought. Happy Monday!
