STOP mindlessly consuming social media for a sec. I’m guilty too, it’s okay.
Friends, hear me out a minute. I know, we’re all SO busy, but take a couple of minutes to listen to THIS song. I get it, maybe this kind of Christian music isn’t for you, but I swear to you that Jesus is. These lyrics- “There ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy” YES! Believe it, receive it.
Say it LOUD:
“There ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy”
A month ago I went through a deep trauma that shook my soul, made me question my purpose, my passions, and my very existence.
Why, Lord? Just why?
I don’t know.
I pushed it off and I kept silent (well, as silent as I could, you guys know me) and keep pushing off processing it and talking about it because I couldn’t even/can’t even deal with it.
I’m too weak, I’m too busy, and I just want to come out on top when I process it, and I have to be in a really good place to do that. I’m not there yet- but you guys, it still doesn’t mean I’m going to let it steal my joy.
Each time the negative thoughts start to creep back into my mind and skew what really happened and make me second guess myself and God’s plan for me, I repeat these lyrics and hum this tune, “There ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy”, as well “Fear is a Liar” (another Zach Williams song).
Fear can control too much in our thoughts if we let it. Don’t give it a chance.
TRUST.
If you have an Echo, “Alexa play songs by Zach Williams” or pop over to YouTube and find a playlist.
I’m fairly certain that his lyrics will heal you from some brokenness you may not have even had time to process that you were going through.

Love both of these songs. I also love “Confidence” by Sanctus Real.
