Earlier this week I returned to my hometown and took this little snapshot of the neighborhood I grew up in. Walking this sidewalk, especially during autumn, just feels like “home”. I was lucky to grow up in a neighborhood with “good kids” and a neighbor mom with a heart of gold, but who also wasn’t afraid to gently and lovingly correct me or send me home if I was out of line (which was often). I’m so grateful for that. It’s my hope that this little slice of heaven on a Earth, the neighborhood where we live now, will be a place where more “good kids” are raised.

Be good, friends. Be good, and honest, and loving, and expect others around you to be the same. And you know what? If you’ve done all you can and your friends still make you feel like poo, or regularly disappoint you… Pray over it, and move on.

Yes, moving on can be hard, but it can also be so so good.

Who you surround yourself with MATTERS, because you MATTER!

In case no one has told you lately, you are loved, you are precious, you are important.

I love you, and I’m so glad to have you here. This little piece of the web is my home, and you my dear friends, can always come back home.
