Last week, into the weekend, and now this week too I have been listening to the audio book Teaching from Rest, by Sarah Mackenzie.
My first adult audio book was 1,000 Gifts several years ago. I was able to download it for just a few dollars and I plugged away at it while walking on the treadmill until I finished it.
Since then I have gone to paper books that I can read and loan out to friends.
Life has been a little more demanding lately and I’ve found myself having trouble finishing the paper books.
So when Sarah Mackenzie posted on her Facebook that you could download this as an Audible book (FOR LESS THAN $5!) and listen to it without getting an audible subscription (just use the free Audible app), I jumped all over it! Seriously, I had that book ordered within 3 minutes and started listening to it that afternoon.
Homeschool moms, this book is a good one!
I have quickly fallen in love with audio books & how effortlessly they fit into my schedule.
I will say though, I wish I were listening to it with a notebook in my hand because there are so many great things she says that I want to write down. So far though, I’ve been listening while I drive, fold laundry, or make supper, so that hasn’t happened. I will most likely end up buying the paperback also, but this is perfect for where I’m at right now.
Teaching From Rest is all about finding unshakable peace in your homeschooling.
It’s so much more than just a book for homeschool moms though, I am finding it to help me in the areas of motherhood, and within my marriage too.
I’m about half way through now and I can already tell this will be one that I refer back to often because it is full of practical advice that helps me right where I am right now.
If you’re a homeschool mom, give this one a try.
