We have a 15-month old that is always on the go (read: full of adventure and absolutely no fear), so for his safety, and my sanity, our Graco Pack & Play has gone everywhere with us this summer. Ball practices and a dozen games all across North Iowa, parks, the backyard, the garage while we cleaned, by the garden, on the deck, etc. You name it, we were there and the Pack & Play was probably with us. Ha!
As a result, it got filthy, like embarrassingly filthy. You guys, I don’t typically let things get to the point of actual filth, but summer has been busy and I didn’t feel like I had the time to clean it and wait for it to dry before we needed it again. I also wasn’t exactly sure HOW to clean it, because I’m pretty sure the inside is just some thick cardboard or cheap wood.
The kicker was we still use this pack and play inside also, so I wanted it to look great again (and I didn’t want to get mom-shamed at the park). I even contemplated buying one for indoors and one for outdoors. The frugal side of me won that internal argument, thankfully.
After a quick scrub down with just an Envirocloth and water it’s looking clean as can be!
Before on the LEFT, after on the RIGHT. Take a close look at those grungy spots. My little guy LOVES squirting out his milk bottles out and scrubbing his sandy toes in the mess. I don’t even know if this picture accurately captures the amount of dirt on here. Take my word, it was A LOT!
When I went to set the Pack & Play mattress on the deck to air dry, the neighbor girl walked over holding a couple dolls, one of which was severely loved on the night before with some markers and crayons. I asked her if I could try to clean it up since I still had my damp Norwex rag out, and was feeling pretty confident. She agreed and handed over her sweet dolly.
This one I did have to scrub a bit on but within a couple minutes it was looking much better! I LOVE Norex! Here’s the before:
You guys, I have bought countless other microfiber cloths, but none of them compare to Norwex. Like not even close. The superior level of cleaning and how easy they are to use is worth every single penny. At first, I was a skeptic, and now I wouldn’t dream of buying another microfiber towel from a store (I do like my E-Cloth towels and mop, but I’d rate them good, and Norwex the best). Plus, by purchasing Norwex I get to support sweet friends, like Katy and Lauren, and other friends who have had parties!
Here is the after of that doll (not perfect, but you know around here we only strive for SLIGHTLY BETTER):
I could go on and on about why I love Norwex, and give you specific examples, but what I really want to encourage you to do is find that one project you’ve been putting off, and just tackle it! Yep, just dive in and get started on it. You may find that it doesn’t take you nearly as long as you thought it would, and I’m sure you will be pleased with your efforts.
PS. If you DO want to go check out what the Norwex thing is all about, click HERE (https://katyflint.norwex.biz/). From there you can browse the products, place orders, and send Katy a message if you have any questions. If you don’t know where to start, start with an Envirocloth. 😉
