This boy. He is so sensitive, compassionate, animated, and full of adventure. I love the way his big sister smiles and listens to his stories, allllll of his great big stories. Man, she listens so well to him.
Tonight the story is of what it felt like as he took his impromptu first communion.
That bright orange ball on his lap was a quick gift we picked up for him on a grocery run after worship. It’s already been worth the $2 we spent on it, for he’s bounced it a few thousand times and has kept it by his side all evening.
He’s proud of it, just like God is proud of him for being brave and living in the moment.
Under his nice blue button up shirt is a bright orange shirt that warns of “Extreme Awesomeness”. I kind of think we all have extreme awesomeness tucked away somewhere.
Have you ever thought about how Jesus’ love is like bouncing a ball?
I’m sure not, because that sounds kind of silly, but think about it like this–
If we go out and spread His love, His love bounces back to us.
Praise Him.
