Sweet mornings spent educating and nurturing my tribe are my kind of mornings. Dirty sweat pants + no makeup, but I have no regrets about being in pictures with my kiddos.
I’m not completely ridiculous, I know this shot of me is extremely unflattering, but I’m choosing to see the beauty. I hope you’ll do the same when you look at your pictures.
I’m certain my kids will wish for pictures like this someday, I know I do (my mom has always thrown a hand up at the camera, or turned away). Stop that, mommas!

If you need a simple way to take pictures like this on your own consider using a tripod. I have a post about that HERE. If a tripod isn’t in your budget get creative propping your phone up with books, against a window, in a cupboard with bowls holding it up, etc.
PS. I’m actually reading that book in my hands, it’s good! Ha! It was a library loan that got a little too loved on here by the toddler, so we bought them a new copy and kept this one for us. I’m actually glad for how that worked out (in hindsight), it’s one of our favorites now.
