Ladies, I know we hop online and cruise through pictures thinking everyone else has their life SO TOGETHER. I want to debunk that theory because it just isn’t true. Here’s a little #reallife story for you.
My sister-in-law gave me a wallet for my birthday years and years ago. It was cute, and functional. It was literally way trendier than anything I’d buy for myself.
I carried that cute pink lacey wallet around all these years, feeling so cool. I got compliments all the time.
The past couple of months it had started looking pretty rough. Then it finally bit the dust (like fell apart in my hands).
I bought a new one, and tossed out the old one. After a day I realized the new one was defective and returned it.
Now I’m carrying around my license, credit card, and cash in a wrinkled envelope that I had to ask my oldest daughter to find for me.
Yes, a plain white envelope.
Classy, huh?
I can’t decided if drawing flowers on it will make it better or worse.
I’ve so got my life together over here.
Oh, and to top it off I stopped at a gas station last night for bananas (yep) and asked if they had any wallets. The lady looked at me like I was the biggest redneck she’d ever seen. She said “Ma’am we are full service, but not quite THAT full service.”
I could’ve died.
Did I really just get so desperate that I started looking for a new wallet at a gas station? Yes, I did.
Deep breath. No one has every aspect of their life all together.
Keep scrollin’ Facebook and Pinterest, and double tappin’ Instagram, but do so with a grain of salt.
