Tonight I’m grateful for the colorful card from a new friend. A fellow homeschool mom sent a little cheer my way and it couldn’t have came at a better time.
As you can tell by the background we’re still working hard on the flooring.
It’s insanely frustrating and out of our current skill-set (especially mine), but I trust that our efforts will be worth it, and that we will learn something along the way.
My Dear Friends,
Many times in life you will find yourself in situations that seem out of your skill set. You may even need to call in help (we’re nearing that point with this project). I want you to know that it’s OKAY to not have it all together! It’s okay when things don’t flow according to your ideal plan.
If you push through the hard stuff, you’ll be better for it. I am sure of it!
God doesn’t waste my pain, or yours either. I’ve had loved ones die, friendships collapse, turmoil in my marriage and I’ve always wondered “Why God?”
I haven’t always known the answer, but still pray that my pain isn’t wasted, and I know it isn’t.
I believe life flows according to His plan. He takes you and me right where we are and transforms us into what he needs. Isn’t it an honor to serve a God who loves us enough to edit us and shape us into His masterpieces?
Love,
Quincey B.
PS. Yes, I’m rocking the knock-off Crocs today. They’re like vintage original or something. Not that this is something to brag about, but I’m pretty sure I was the first person to own a pair at my high school. I remember being made fun of for them when I brought them back from a shopping trip to Omaha with my mom and aunt. Still, I don’t even care. I’ve always marched to the beat of my own tambourine. 😉
