There’s something sacred to me about backyard time with the family.
Tending our garden, admiring the flowers blooming in the bed, watching the littles dig in the sandbox, and sometimes joining them myself.
Snacking on the freshest fruits of my husband’s labor in the garden, smelling the fire burn in the pit, and listening to the gentle crackling of logs cut from my very own brother’s property just two miles East of our home.
Yes, this is truly the ordinary, yet very good, stuff in life.
We all know the one thing we can never get more of is time. As a momma of busy teenagers, I’m going to take this a step further and say TIME TOGETHER with the whole family.
Evenings when we’re all under the same roof, or gathered in the same yard, are about as precious as they come.
Praise Jesus for the eyes to see the ordinary moments of everyday life as the blessings that they truly are.
