A couple of weeks ago we made a gorgeous balloon garland to celebrate our oldest daughter’s high school graduation. We ordered a balloon pump (highly recommend) and a kit that made the whole process simple as could be.
This week we wanted to make another one to celebrate the homecoming of our oldest son from Bible Camp. You do know we love to CELEBRATE ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING here, right?
All you need to create a simple garland is:
- 2″ masking tape (folded in half) OR 1″ masking tape doubled for thickness. A ribbon could work as well
- A pair of scissors
- Balloons
- Push pins to secure the garland to the wall
Decided how long your garland will be. Tip from the pro: Cut your tape a little longer to leave room for hanging. Cut tiny slits into the center of the tape. Blow up and tie your balloons, and then push the knotted end through the tape to secure them. After all your balloons are in place, hang your garland! We like to use small push pins to attach it to the wall on each end.
Here is a video showing you the process.
