Yoto Player Product Review

Yoto Player

One thing I have always been passionate about is limiting screen time with our children. This is ironic to me, as I have spent a great deal of my adult life consulting for and managing social media accounts, as well as sharing bits of our life on different online platforms in hopes to encourage others in the trenches of motherhood. While my work brings me online, I find that I too benefit greatly from taking screen breaks.

For our youngest daughter’s birthday in 2020 we gifted her a Yoto Player.  A had friend mentioned this device to me a few weeks prior and I did a deep dive researching if it really was as good as it sounded. I can attest, IT IS! I knew right away that it lined up with our family values and would meet a need we had to share more audiobooks with our children while limiting screen time.

I enjoy the vast library of stories offered with rich content, the activity cards, the sound effects cards, the kids radio, the daily podcast for children, as well as the Make Your Own cards.

I was able to link a Sally Clarkson podcast to a blank card for ME to listen to. Hallelujah! I know, I can link it to “Alexa” or play it from my phone, but being able to stick in a card rather than pull up a webpage/app is just delightful to me.

I ordered some blank cards to have grandparents and other relatives or friends read or tell stories to play.

Our children, 3-17 ALL love this cute little box. Our 3-year-old was able to walk up to it and make it play music and stories without ANY prompting or guidance. THAT is how intuitive and user friendly this sweet thing is. The simplicity of this box is all part of the design, and I love it.

If you’re considering one and have questions, please feel free to message me. I love hearing from you.

I am so grateful that you are here taking the time to check in on our family and see what we’re up to. Wherever you are dear friends, I hope you are CELEBRATING something today.

I am a Yoto affiliate member, as well as an Amazon affiliate member, which means if you make a purchase through the links I have shared here I may earn a commission from your purchase. This does not increase the price for you in any way, and in fact, you may even get a better discount using the links I share. I want to assure you that I have been sharing about this beautiful player for 8 months before applying to their affiliate program. This is a product I firmly believe in and support.

Hey Friend! I am truly so glad that you’re here today!

At A Slightly Better Wife, I share about faith, homemaking, homeschooling, and marriage—along with my passion for creating a non-toxic, intentional home. Life isn’t about perfection, but I believe in making small, meaningful choices each day to do things slightly better than before.

My love for simple living and homemaking was deeply shaped by my grandparents. I have the best childhood memories of being in the kitchen with my Grandma Edna, learning the beauty of home-cooked meals and a well-tended home. My Grandpa Link’s storytelling and wisdom instilled in me the value of faith, family, and slowing down to listen during the little moments that make life rich. Their influence is woven into who I am today and I’m so grateful for that.

I’m a wife, a momma of 5, and a homemaker at heart. My husband and I met young, just days after my 18th birthday, and we quickly (like within a week) knew that forever was in our plans.

Together, we built our home on the edge of town, where we’re raising and homeschooling our children while embracing a simple, purposeful life in the city.

Here, you’ll find encouragement for your marriage, practical tips for homemaking, and inspiration to cultivate a home filled with faith and love. Whether you’re looking for a recipe, a fresh perspective, or just a place to feel understood, I hope you’ll stay awhile and explore.

Let’s pursue slightly better together!
