My home is my workplace. I spend more hours here than anywhere else, and I’m in charge of more daily responsibilities than anyone else in the house. I say this with pride. God has blessed me with a beautiful home and a husband who allows me the gift of being a full-time homemaker.
This year, we took a leap of faith and expanded my role even further: not only am I a full-time mom, I’m also a full-time homeschooling mom. It has been pure joy.
With this new role came more supplies: books, workbooks, teachers’ manuals, colored paper, pencils, art supplies, science kits, craft supplies… the list goes on. I allowed it to accumulate while finding the best tools to help my children learn.
Even as someone who likes things neat and orderly, I’ve felt overwhelmed at times. Running a home is a profession, and every workplace has its challenges. One of my current goals is to get on top of the clutter little by little. I’ll be sharing snapshots of before-and-after moments and practical tips for staying organized while homeschooling and managing a busy household.
I may take advantage of my husband’s time off over Christmas break to tackle some big organization projects, or I may simply choose to enjoy his company, the snuggles, and the moments that make this job so rewarding.
Being a homemaker, a mom, and now a teacher of my children is hard work, meaningful work, and work that deserves recognition, pride, and celebration.

I hear ya, lady!
