The most important change our family has made, and continues to pursue daily, is following Jesus Christ. We have both believed in Christ for as long as we can remember, but over the years our passion and devotion to Him have deepened. More and more, our focus has become aligning our lives with what He desires for us.
I sometimes think back to those old bracelets that said WWJD, “What Would Jesus Do?” While the slogan might feel a little dated, the truth behind it is still powerful. We all need constant reminders to pause and consider how Jesus would respond in our words, attitudes, and actions.
I certainly don’t always get it right, but I want to be a woman who strives to live obediently to Christ. My mind and heart are clearer when I turn to the Bible for direction rather than relying on my own understanding.
When I teach my children from God’s Word, I can be confident I’m pointing them to truth that will never fail them.
My husband and I may not always agree on every little thing, but we stand together in this: the Bible is truth. It is our anchor, our guide, and our hope.
As the years go on, I see more and more how vital it is to keep Christ at the center of our home. It shapes our marriage, our parenting, and the legacy we are leaving behind.
