Hard Boiled Eggs in the Instant Pot

These eggs will peel like a dream!  Honest!
Course Side Dish
Prep Time 4 minutes
Cook Time 6 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1-2 dozen eggs

Instructions

  1. Use the rack the pot came with, put 1 cup of water in the bottom of the pot, then add the eggs (I used 14, but it can hold more- in my 8qt I do 3 dozen quite often).

  2. The Steam Release should be set to SEALING.
  3. Use High Pressure
  4. Press Manual and + or – to 6 minutes.
  5. Let the steam release on its own for about 6 more minutes (if it goes longer it wont hurt anything, other than your eggs eventually will turn brown if you go TOO long- they're still edible).

Release all the pressure, pop the lid off (carefully).

  1. Put the eggs in ice and water for another 6 minutes.

Recipe Notes

The 6 minutes of cooking time will start after the pot reaches full pressure.
